Travel
softball season begins after high school season ends which
is generally mid May and continues through July. To help defer
the costs of attending recruiting tournaments we hold fund
raisers and seek sponsors to ask for donations. All players
and parents are expected to participate in helping with raising
money for the team.
The West Florida Elite’s founder is
Dennis Roesle,owner of Roesle
Sports Consulting. Mr. Roesle was Area Director for National
Scouting Report for over 7 years before deciding to venture
out on his own so he could concentrate on prospects located
in the Mobile Alabama and Northwest Florida area. Mr. Roesle’s
experience dealing with college coaches, and his expertise
in the field of recruiting, are an additional benefits for
Elite players. His recruiting consulting program, combined
with the Elite's tournament schedule, is a major reason colleges
are aware of the Elite organization. This gives the players
the opportunity to be recruited and receive scholarship offers.
Mission
Statement
The West
Florida Elite are composed of some of the better high school
softball players from all over Northwest Florida and South
Alabama. Elite players are dedicated athletes seeking the
opportunity to play at the college level. The team's goal
is to provide exposure for high school players to colleges
by attending national tournaments while helping increase player
skills by going up against top competition.
We are
very proud that in our first full season all five of our seniors
have received scholarship offers, including the first player
to ever be signed by the University of South Alabama’s
new Division 1 program. We look for players that possess great
attitudes, top work ethics, and are academically strong as
well as having the ability to play at the next level.
If you're
not willing to work hard, and not dedicated to the game of
softball, then this is not the right organization for you.
